Sheep Shearing Day

Spring has sprung and it is time for our sheep’s annual “haircut”. Watch as the farm’s sheep get sheared; then, try your hand at wool carding and see the transformation from fiber to yarn at the spinning wheel.

Tartan  Day /  Scottish Faire

​Celebrate Tartan Day and join in the pageantry as Scottish folk from all over the area gather their clans and celebrate their heritage. Enjoy bagpipe bands, highland dancing, traditional Scottish food, and historic re-enactments.

Memorial Day    (Free Day)

FREE Admission
​Celebrate the holiday with an admission-free day of fun! Help with farm chores, ride the train, and tour the Victorian farmhouse. Taste some farm-baked cookies from our outdoor wood stove, try your skills at some old-time games and visit with the goats, sheep, chickens and bunnies.

Old Fashioned Independence Day

​Celebrate America’s birthday! There will be music, games, contests and races for everyone all day long. Test your skill at nail-driving, egg toss and watermelon seed spitting or join the pie-eating or tug-of-war contest. Bring a picnic and spend the day the old –fashioned way!

Historic Rail Fair by SPCRR

​The Rail Fair returns to the farm over the Labor Day weekend. Enjoy train rides, garden railroads, model railroads, historic railroad displays, Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor displays, activities for children, special activities for children ages 3-7, music, food, and much more!  Website

Harvest Festival

​It’s harvest time on the farm!
​Bring your family and join your friends for some down home country fun.
​Harvest the Indian corn and popcorn and help fill our corncribs. Take home
​a share of our colorful corn for your holiday table. Enjoy the Fall!

Haunted Railroad by SPCRR

$10/ages 3 and up (2 and under free). Ride the Haunted Railroad for a frightfully fun journey through the haunted forest. Live actors play silly characters, with Halloween inflatables between scenes. Christmas Splendor at the Patterson House Open House $7 in advance, $8 at the door. Continue the holiday season by touring the Christmas-decorated Patterson House and enjoy light refreshments.
