On Wednesday, April 24, the City of Fremont will be partnering with the Cleantech Open to hold a Business Briefing, which aims at attracting new cleantech startups into their 2019 accelerator program. The program will include networking opportunities, overview of the Cleantech Open, and a panel discussion on sustainable manufacturing. The panel will feature representatives from Fremont-based Surplus Service, Flextronics, and Fremont’s Economic Development Department.

The City of Fremont is home to one of the largest cleantech clusters in the region and has partnered with the Cleantech Open for many years, helping to organize and support a variety of its program activities.
The Cleantech Open is the world’s largest cleantech accelerator, providing entrepreneurs and corporate innovators the resources they need to launch and grow successful cleantech businesses. Its one-of-a-kind innovation ecosystem built over the last 10 years of programming spans key cleantech innovation hubs in the U.S., linking labs and universities, service providers, investors, corporations, governments, and other cleantech incubators and accelerators. Through its annual accelerator, it provides between 100-150 companies in the U.S. a rich program of customer discovery, extensive mentoring, training, investor meetings, startup-corporate matching, and showcasing at both the regional and national levels.
