Winter Wonder-lab
Step into the Mad Science Winter Wonderlab and watch a snowman sublimate before your very eyes as we explore the 3 states of matter! We will tinker with technology and learn the science behind some of our favorite toys! Kids will learn about polymers and make their own Mad Science Super Ball ornament! Our junior scientists will be charged up when they experiment with switches and batteries and build a string of holiday lights! Camp fee includes water and non-carbonated beverage. Bring a bag lunch.

Fizz-ical Phenomena & Che-Mystery
Take a walk on the wild side in this crazy week of science! Have a ton of fun as we whip up potions and experiment with all kinds of chemical reactions, including growing our own crystals, making sidewalk chalk, and learning the science of chromatography on a lab coat you get to keep!  Mix it up as we experiment with molecular madness, radical reactions and “fizz”-ical and chemical reactions. Discover what those crazy chemists are really up to in their laboratories! Bring snacks and a bag lunch.

Communication Academy Camps


Combo Camp: Essay Writing & Public Speaking (FULL DAY)
Take part in two valuable camps for a discounted price. SAVE $40 when you enroll in full day camps which combine two fun back-to-back camps from Communication Academy. Parents maintain peace-of-mind by dropping children off only once for an extended period of time so students can learn two important skills in one sitting. Don't delay on this fantastic opportunity. Essay Writing: Focus & Accuracy (HALF DAY)
Writers use different kinds of writing for different purposes. In order to achieve specific goals, students will learn to tailor their writing-style to particular audiences. Various genres and styles of writing will be explored, and students will try their hand at each. Material fee: $15.

Public Speaking: Improv (HALF DAY)
Improvisation is a fun and exciting type of speech which asks students to create characters and dramatic scenarios on-the-spot. Students learn valuable public speaking skills such as quick-thinking and personal magnetism, all while laughing and collaborating with classmates.. Material Fee: $15.

Students will learn to write a polished manuscript for final publication. This course emphasizes skills necessary to finalize and perfect a piece of writing. Students will work on a single piece of publication-quality material. Material fee: $15.

Public Speaking: Student Leadership (HALF DAY)
Student Leadership encourages students to develop intensive research skills, diplomatic speaking and writing skills, and student advocacy skills. Students learn how to dialogue with elected officials, draft advocacy letters, write and make presentations for social media. Taught at age-appropriate level.  $15 material fee due at first class.

Create-a-book & Early Writing
In the morning: The art of bookmaking will be the focus of this week. They will also be introduced to simple binding techniques. Participants will learn how to make shape books, pop ups books, accordion books, and Flag books. In the afternoon: Early Writing -Children will learn the art of correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar through interactive lessons. Composition will be introduce to older students through paragraph structure. $20 materials fee due to instructor on first day of class
