Spring has sprung and it is time for our sheep’s annual “haircut”. Watch as the farm’s sheep get sheared; then, try your hand at wool carding and see the transformation from fiber to yarn at the spinning wheel.

​Celebrate Tartan Day and join in the pageantry as Scottish folk from all over the area gather their clans and celebrate their heritage. Enjoy bagpipe bands, highland dancing, traditional Scottish food, and historic re-enactments.

FREE Admission Day
​Celebrate the holiday with an admission-free day of fun! Help with farm chores, ride the train, and tour the Victorian farmhouse. Taste some farm-baked cookies from our outdoor wood stove, try your skills at some old-time games and visit with the goats, sheep, chickens and bunnies.

RAILROAD ADVENTURE        DAY
This is a great opportunity to take a Saturday ride on our narrow gauge train and learn  about the history of the original railroad that ran through Ardenwood. Unlimited train rides are included with the Ardenwood admission fee.
Tickets: $6/adults (18+), $5/seniors (62+), $4/children (4-17), ages 3 and under are free. This is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Railroad Museum at Ardenwood, operated by the Society for the Preservation of Carter Railroad Resources. ​Celebrate America’s birthday! There will be music, games, contests and races for everyone all day long. Test your skill at nail-driving, egg toss and watermelon seed spitting or join the pie-eating or tug-of-war contest. Bring a picnic and spend the day the old –fashioned way!

Come to Ardenwood and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Rail Fair! Your entire family will enjoy train rides, model railroads of different sizes, a full-size steam engine, historic railroad display, farmyard activities, Patterson House tours, music, and more!

HAUNTED         RAILROAD       

by SPCRR


Ride the Haunted Railroad for a frightfully fun journey through the haunted forest. This is a fun, spooky ride for all ages (not scary). Live actors play silly characters with Halloween inflatables between scenes. This ride is especially designed for families with children under 12.

Tickets: $12 for everyone ages 3 and up (2 and under free). Online ticket sales begin at 8 am on September 15 at www.Eventbrite.com (search for ”Haunted Train”). CHRISTMAS SPLENDOR      at the      Patterson House Open House
(All Ages) Put yourself in the holiday spirit by visiting the Patterson House in the evening fully decorated for the holidays full of some of the Christmas splendor enjoyed by the Pattersons more than a century ago. Enjoy live music, Victorian inspired decorations and much more! Adults $7.00 in advance, $8.00 at the door, No registration needed for Children (12 and under) as they are FREE with paid adult admission. The park is closed to the general public. Tickets will be sold in advance at www.RegeRec.com  (Barcode 275529) and at the door starting at 5pm.

Entry Fees vary – Thursday, Friday, Sunday House Tour is included in Farm Entry Fee. Saturday House Tour Fee (paid at the door) $2 Children (6-12), $3 Teens / Adults / Seniors in addition to Farm Entry Fee. Children under 6 are free but must come during a scheduled Tot Tour.
