The City of Fremont was recognized as the 6th best place to start a business in Northern California, according to a recent study conducted by NerdWallet.

2015: No. 85 “Best City in the U.S. for Female Entrepreneurs to Launch their Business”
Fremont is a great place for women entrepreneurs to launch their business and to live and work, according to a recent report by GoodCall.

2015: 7th Best City for Families
The City of Fremont was recognized as the 7th best city for families in the nation, according to a recent study conducted by WalletHub. 

2015: Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awards program for comprehensive annual financial reports. This was the 31st consecutive year that the Fremont city government has achieved this prestigious award.

The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) awards program recognizes cities, towns, and counties that are doing their part to develop sustainable communities.

Smart Asset listed Fremont the third-best paying city for women in tech, with a gender pay gap earning ratio of 87% and the only Bay Area city in the top 15 cities.

The annual ranking of “The Best and Worst Run Cities in America” by 24/7 Wall St. looks at data from a number of sources for the 100 largest cities in the country. Fremont comes in at no. 2!

2014: No. 52 “Top 100 Places to Live in America” by Livability
Livability’s ranking of the top 100 best places to live focuses on small to mid-sized cities and what makes them great places to live and work.

2013: Best City to Sell Your Home in Silicon Valley
The Movoto Real Estate Blog turned its city-ranking skills to the question of which cities in America are best for home sellers, taking into account home listing prices, competition in local real estate markets, crime rates, school quality, and unemployment rates.

2013: No. 5 “Cities Creating the Most Tech Jobs” by Forbes
Forbes turned to Mark Schill, research director at Praxis Strategy Group, to analyze job creation trends in the nation’s 52 largest metropolitan areas from 2001 to 2013.

2013: No. 10 “Happiest Mid-Size Cities in America” by CareerBliss
CareerBliss took a look at thousands of company reviews submitted by people who work in cities with populations greater than 100,000 and less than 1 million. The reviews evaluate how employees feel about several factors that affect workplace happiness, such as compensation, company culture and senior management.

2013: No. 3 in Silicon Valley for the lowest crime rate
AreaVibes reveals the best places to live across the United States of America, based on amenities, cost of living, crime rates, education, employment, housing, and weather.

2012: No. 3 “Sharpest, Smartest Cities in America”
Reader’s Digest determined the 10 sharpest and smartest cities, looking at education level, eating and exercise habits, health conditions, and sociability.

2012: No. 2 “Most Inventive City in America” by The Daily Beast/Newsweek
The Daily Beast calls out the nation’s top innovation hubs, taking into account the number of patent applications, patents awarded, patent applications per 100,000 residents, etc.

2012: No. 1 in the nation for number of startups per capita by Sizeup.com
SizeUp sifted through millions of records from a plethora of sources to build a ranking of U.S. cities by technology startups per capita, and Fremont topped the list!

2012: No. 4 on “Best Run Cities in America” by 24/7 Wall Street
This was 24/7 Wall St.’s first annual ranking of the best-run and worst-run cities in America. It reviewed the local economies, fiscal discipline and standard of living of the 100 largest cities by population to determine how well each is managed.
