Fremont Paratransit Program

Door-to-Door Transportation
Fremont seniors (80+) and individuals who have a disability that prevents them from using buses, BART, or other forms of public transportation, are eligible to apply for service.
  • Shared-ride, wheelchair-accessible, transportation within Fremont, Newark and Union City.
  • Service is available: Weekdays - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Weekends - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Advance reservation required for all trips.
  • Application and eligibility certification required for service.
  • Fremont residents are eligible for services if they:
    •    Have a disability that prevents them from using public transit, OR
    •    Are 80 years  of age or older
Group Trips
  • Transportation for local social and recreational group outings is provided to Fremont-based community groups that serve seniors (60+) and persons with disabilities.
  • Group Trips are scheduled by advance arrangement.
The Fremont Paratransit Program is funded by the Alameda County Transportation Commission through Measure B sales tax dollars.
