Fremont has teamed up with other Bay Area cities and the San Francisco-based Business Council on Climate Change (BC3) to provide a solar group-purchasing (bulk buy) program for homeowners.
Called SunShares, the program will pool the buying power of individual participants to get more competitive pricing from solar companies, making going solar easier and more affordable than ever for residents. This year's SunShares program is available to participants throughout the Bay Area, offering homeowners the opportunity to receive a discounted price on the purchase or lease of solar for their homes as well as for electric vehicles.
