Irvington BART Station Study Area

Irvington BART Station Final Scoping Report
Prepared for the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC), June 2016

When constructed, the Irvington BART Station will become the third BART Station in the City of Fremont.  The station will be located halfway between the Fremont Station in central Fremont and the Warm Springs/South Fremont Station in the Warm Springs district.  The station will be located at the southwest corner of Washington Boulevard and Osgood Road.  It will become only the second station in the BART system that will be constructed in the middle of an existing BART line requiring special construction techniques to build the station around moving BART trains.

The Scoping Report defines the delivery strategy for the next phases of investment in the development of the Irvington Station.  The report was a collaborative effort between the City of Fremont and the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART).  The conceptual site planning presented in this report is designed to inform the next phase of station development work, which will include definition of the station site plan, development of a station area plan, and an updated state environmental document.  The plans, designs, and conclusions contained within this report should be considered preliminary recommendations for further study during the next phase of project development.
