Winter Shelter

From November 15 -March 15, the City of Fremont Human Services Department operates a Winter Shelter for the Tri-City homeless community offering a warm place to sleep seven nights a week.  The shelter also provides dinner and hot beverages, showers, cots, sleeping bags and breakfast-to-go bags in the morning.  During the week, housing assessments and limited health services are also provided.  Please see flyer for current shelter location.  Visitors should arrive between 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening.  The Winter Shelter often reaches capacity so it’s best to arrive by 6:30 p.m.

If staying the night, there is no entering or leaving the facility between 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.  At 7:00 a.m., all visitors must vacate the building.  For more information or updates, hear a recorded message at 510.574.2222.

The Winter Shelter needs help!  Donations can be made online.  For those interested in volunteering or providing dinner on a specific night, please email CityServe Compassion Network.
