The Olive Hyde Art Guild’s “Holiday for the Arts” Show & Sale benefits the Fremont Olive Hyde Art Gallery and other visual art projects in the Fremont community and schools. The show is held annually during the first weekend in December and opens with a ticketed Gala on Friday night (November 30th) featuring hors d’oeuvres, sweets, and wine, with the first viewing and sale of art. On Saturday and Sunday – December 1st and 2nd – the show is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Artists are invited to participate in this event. Quality whimsical works of art are especially sought in all areas: painting, ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber, wood, and holiday items. Samples of new artists’ (and past artists with new work) will be screened by appointment on Saturday, September 8, 2018. All works must be original. Deadline to set up a screening appointment – August 18, 2018.
