Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person instruction has been postponed until further notice and the program will be virtual. Submit application online or download, print, and email a scanned application to ASA@fremont.gov. You'll receive a confirmation email once your application is accepted.
Please note: The After School Academy program will be online-only. In-person program will resume when FUSD School Board approves in-person instruction.
The After School Academy (ASA) provides your child with an open space to make social connections while still providing academic assistance and enriching activities. Students are given the opportunity to socialize and connect with our team and their peers. ASA supports students and families remotely using the Zoom platform. Supplies for all activities are provided and can be picked-up at Elementary Schools on your assigned supply pick-up day. It is our goal that students improve socially, emotionally, and academically through community, academic, recreation, and enrichment activities.
Enrichment activities may include STEM, social and emotional learning, visual and performing arts, music, physical activity, health promotion, general recreation, global learning, career awareness, community service learning, and other youth development activities based on students’ needs and interests.
Child must be enrolled in grades 2nd though 6th at Brier, Cabrillo, or Grimmer to register for After School Academy.
When students return to in-person instruction, students eligible for meal assistance through Fremont Unified School District - Child Nutrition Services (CNS) are eligible to have program fees waived. A letter from the District must be attached to the ASA application to have the program fee waived.
