Typical Inspection Examples

All Construction needs to be inspected before it is covered.

Typical inspections are:
  • Foundation inspection
    • Inspection after excavations for footings or piers and grade beams are complete; any required reinforcing steel along with any required bolts, anchors, or straps are in place
  • Shear and Roof Sheathing inspection
  • Frame all trades inspection
    • Inspection of interior framing and rough plumbing, electrical and mechanical trade work.
    • All plumbing systems and fire sprinkler systems must be under test.
    • Electrical, and mechanical installations are roughed in and ready for inspection and testing, all shear and sheathing is installed.
  • Insulation inspection
  • Dry wall inspection
  • Gas Pressure Test inspection (if required)
  • Final inspection
    • Inspection after all the permitted work has been completed, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed, painting and finishes, commissioning and testing is complete.
    • Finish grading landscaping conditions of approval off site improvements.
    • Emergency power (if applicable).
  • Request Certificate of Occupancy.
