Inspiration Statement: "The City of Fremont gave me this wonderful opportunity to do something meaningful for special children through the boxART! program. The design is very close to my heart and is inspired by my Indian heritage, architecture, and textile. I created raised lines for the blind children to touch and feel and the bright colors for everyone in the community to enjoy. Learning to use the Braille language was a joyful experience for me, and I am so grateful to be able to have created more inclusive art. I hope that it brings equal joy and happiness to everyone, the way I felt every bit while painting the box."
