Permit Information

These permits do not include any structural alterations, such as moving walls, introducing windows, or windows change-outs. This work can be included in the remodel permit at an additional fee.

Kitchen Remodel Permit

  • Upper cabinets
  • Five 20-amp circuits or up to 40 lights, switches, and outlets
  • Exhaust fan / hood
  • Gas pipe and range
  • Two sinks
  • One disposal
  • One dishwasher
  • One water line

Bathroom Remodel Permit

  • Cabinet
  • Shower / tub walls
  • Up to 40 outlets, lights, and switches
  • Exhaust fan
  • Heat duct
  • Sink, toilet, shower / tub pan, or up to four fixtures
  • Water line

How do I get this permit?

To submit a new building permit request, please visit Citizen AccessOnce on the website, create an account, log in to your account, select "Pre-Application," complete the form, upload the building permit application and any other supporting documentation, and continue the request until you receive the online confirmation. Once submitted, staff will convert your online submittal to a building permit within a day. When the building permit is created, you will see it in your Citizen Access account under "My Records." Permitting staff will review your application and contact you with any questions about your request, as well as the permit fee and methods of payment.
