Traffic Advisory: Water Conservation and Median Upgrades Project along Mowry Avenue

Mowry Project1

The City of Fremont’s Water Conservation and Median Upgrades Project is in full swing along Mowry Avenue. Expect single lane closures in each direction between Farwell and Logan drives through approximately December 7, 2018, on the following days and times: Monday through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please note the construction schedule is subject to change. Also, please obey all temporary traffic control signs around the work zones.

The Water Conservation and Median Upgrades Project is part of the City’s multi-pronged approach to address re-occurring drought cycles, aging and inefficient irrigation infrastructure, and limited resources for maintenance. The project will improve the median landscape with new shrubs and trees, paving, and ornamental boulders—all of which will reduce water usage and overall maintenance requirements in the median, and provide enhanced beautification along a significant entry point into the city.

As the project moves forward, the City of Fremont will work with the construction firm to minimize lane closures and limit the inconvenience to the greatest degree possible. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
