Fremont City Manager Mark Danaj Elected as Newest Joint Venture Silicon Valley Board Member

On Friday, November 16, the Joint Venture Silicon Valley Board of Directors voted to elect City Manager Mark Danaj as its newest member. Danaj succeeds former Fremont City Manager Fred Diaz on the board as the only member from any Alameda County city.


“I am proud to represent Fremont’s continued commitment to the important work of Joint Venture Silicon Valley,” Danaj said. ”Its ability to convene regional leaders to collaboratively develop strategies addressing the Valley’s challenges and opportunities is unparalleled. I look forward contributing to this increasingly important mission.”


Joint Venture Silicon Valley is a nonprofit organization made up of the Bay Area’s leaders across the private and public sectors, including government, business, academia, labor, and community organizations. The group meets to discuss, study, report, and find solutions for the region’s challenges.
