On May 15, 2019, the Fremont Recreation Commission voted to recommend that the Fremont City Council approve the Dusterberry Neighborhood Park Master Plan. This Master Plan is the result of six months of community input gathered through four public meetings that also included design exercises with residents and three online surveys. The Master Plan will be presented to the City Council at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, located at 3300 Capitol Ave. in Fremont.
Dusterberry Park is the future 4-acre park in the planning stages and it will be located at the corner of Dusterberry Way and Peralta Boulevard. The current building will eventually be demolished and the concrete and asphalt removed to make way for a park that serves the residents in the neighborhood.
