State’s Regional Stay-At-Home Order Announced

COVID-19 virus

Yesterday, the State announced a Regional Stay at Home Order that will use regional availability of intensive care unit (ICU) beds. This State Order would go into effect when a region’s ICU availability falls below 15% and would remain in effect for a minimum of 3 weeks. Additionally, private gatherings of any size would be prohibited, and non-essential travel restricted.

Currently, Alameda County remains in the Purple Tier and is part of the Bay Area region, one of five regions across the state. No region has been placed into the State’s Regional Stay-At-Home-Order, but the State’s current projections show that the Bay Area region will reach the 15% threshold by mid- to late December.

As the City of Fremont reviews the new Order, local businesses and residents are encouraged to plan now for further restrictions that may be implemented. Also, please continue wearing masks, washing your hands often, and maintaining physical distancing.
