Fremont residents can now download or upgrade to a new version of the Fremont App on their smartphones, tablets, and computers. Launched in May 2020, Fremont App is a CRM application that enables users to report a wide range of local, non-emergency issues directly to City departments by taking pictures, adding a message to describe the issue, and using geo-location technology to send the exact location to the City.
The new version features a centralized “request” button to give residents the option to create a new request, view any previously submitted requests and status updates, and check for nearby requests reported by others.
Since its launch, the City has closed out more than 826 service requests reported within Fremont App, ranging from illegal fireworks (23%), illegal dumping (8%), COVID-19 health order violations (7%), graffiti abatement on public property (7%), and malfunctioning traffic signals (6%).The Information Technology Services (ITS) Department continues to work closely with City departments to maintain over 30 request types, such as potholes, tree hazards, and malfunctioning streetlights. Additionally, ITS is continuing to identify expansion opportunities for new request types in the app.
