At a Special Work Session on April 20, 2021, the Economic Development Department presented a "Business and Economic Recovery Framework” to the City Council. Given the profound impact of COVID-19 on our local economy, the Framework outlines a plan for economic Recovery, prioritizing Fremont’s best opportunities for rebuilding the local economy and supporting regional efforts on this front. The Business and Economic Recovery Framework is organized by three topics: Supporting Small Business Recovery; Leveraging Inclusive Workforce Development Opportunities in Fremont; and Helping to Rebuild a Resilient Tax Base for the City.
