Community Services Director Suzanne Wolf oversees Recreation, Environmental Services, Landscape Architecture, Park Development, Park Maintenance and Urban Forestry & Medians. Her Parks and Recreation team oversees the maintenance of over 1,000 acres of park and open space, and the delivery of recreation programs and opportunities to over 15,000 households a year.
Prior to joining City of Fremont, Suzanne held senior level management positions with the City of San José for over a decade. In San Jose, she was well-regarded for developing creative and collaborative strategies, for both indoor and outdoor facilities. Suzanne also led the effort to make San Jose’s signature park and zoo facility nationally recognized for its financial and environmental sustainability. As the project manager, she developed the first “Greenprint” strategic plan for the Department.
Suzanne obtained her undergraduate degree at The University of California, Berkeley and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Washington. Suzanne is an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow, a Credentialed Government Leader with the Municipal Management Association of Northern California, and a member of the National Recreation and Park Association.
