Introduction: From April 2 - 5, the Housing Authority of County of Alameda (HACA) will open the Waitlist for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, Section 8) and HACA-owned 3- and 4-bedroom units. Apply online at www.haca.net or visit the FRC during designated times for application assistance.

For the first time in many years, the waitlist for Alameda County's Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, Section 8) will open. From April 2 at 8am until April 5 at 11:59pm, anyone can apply for free in an attempt to get on the waitlist. After the application period closes, HACA will hold a random lottery drawing of applications to be put on the waitlist. Selected names will then be placed on the waitlist for a Housing Choice Voucher.

How to apply:

Apply yourself at www.haca.net anytime between Apr 2 at 8am & April 5 at 11:59pm.
Get help at the FRC. Click on the first flyer below 'HACA Assistance at FRC Apr 2-5, 2024' to see days/hours to get help. Help is available in the morning, afternoon, and two evenings.
Visit www.haca.net to find a different application center in Alameda County. There are many others. Days, hours and language capacities are listed.
