What is the platform?

My Climate Ready Fremont is a City platform with all the information you need to find out how to lower your impact on climate change, save energy and water, and save money.

The platform offers various actions you can take in your daily life and includes all the rebates, financing, and community programs available for each action. Actions range from easy to more complex. There are details on the impact of each action, as well as the yearly savings and initial costs.

Why is it important?

Fremont's goals are to reduce community-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and strengthen Fremont's resilience against the impacts of climate change. Our Climate Action Plan establishes a goal of reducing these emissions by 30% below 2018 levels (or 55% below 2005 levels) by 2030.

Unfortunately, climate change is happening faster than predicted, making it increasingly important to take action now to help mitigate the effects and accomplish our goals. The great news is that there are things that everyone can do that can make a difference. The even better news is the actions don’t need to turn our lives upside down and will also save money, improve our health, and create jobs! My Climate Ready Fremont offers the pathway for residents to get started today.

How to get started?

It’s easy to get started! Just go to myclimatereadyfremont.gov and click on "Get Started." It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to create your account and enter some basic information on your current activities. Then you are all set to start taking action!
