Background
In October 2023, the Fremont City Council adopted Fremont’s updated Climate Action Plan (CAP), Climate Ready Fremont. The plan provides local greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction and climate adaptation measures through 2030.
Dashboard
We built this dashboard to show where we've been and where we are going with Fremont's GHG emissions, including the climate action efforts already taking place to help reduce these emissions.
Climate Action Plan
Fremont’s plan, Climate Ready Fremont, establishes a goal of reducing GHG emissions by 30% from 2018 levels (or 55% from 2005 levels) by 2030. It includes measures that address Fremont’s top sources of GHG emissions, including transportation, energy, and waste. It also includes measures that build community resilience to prepare for and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
