Safe Parking Vehicle Assistance Fund

The Safe Parking Host Site Program (SPHS) is designated as a safe, transitional space for individuals living in their vehicle. Participants are required to work with their social service providers to support their search for stable housing. A Vehicle Assistance Fund has been established to assist SPHS program participants with costs related to operating their vehicles safely and legally. Examples of costs covered by this fund include: obtaining or replacing their driver's license, vehicle registration and insurance costs, reasonable car repairs, and gas vouchers. If you prefer, you can send your check made out to the City of Fremont, with the Vehicle Assistance Fund noted, to the Human Services Department, PO Box 5006, Fremont, CA 94537-5006.
