Classroom training and field outings on buses and BART are combined to teach participants how to plan trips, read transit schedules, use a Clipper Card to pay fares, transfer between buses and BART, and use transit safely.  Participants will receive a free Clipper Card with $10.00 cash value. 

 Workshops in English are held regularly at:

• Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth
• Age Well Center at South Fremont
• Ruggieri Senior Center (Union City)
• Clark W. Redeker Newark Senior Center

Workshops in Mandarin are now offered at:

• Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth
• Age Well Center at South Fremont

Other community locations (housing complexes, places of worship, etc.) or workshops in Spanish are available upon request.

Clipper is the all-in-one transit fare payment card that can be used to pay fares electronically on all transit systems throughout the greater Bay Area. Individuals who are 65 and older can receive reduced fares and access to discount passes by getting a Senior Clipper card.

To obtain a Senior Clipper Card in person, a Senior Clipper Card application must be completed and birthdate must be verified with an accepted form of identification.

Senior Clipper cards can be obtained in person at our office.  Ride-On Tri-City! office location and hours are below.
