Landscape Development Requirements & Policies (LDRP)
The LDRP provides most of the City Code, State, and regional landscape requirements, as well as the City Standard Landscape Details for construction in the City right of way and easements. The LRDP is intended for the landscape architect preparing construction documents or preliminary design documents for review by the City of Fremont.
Standard Details
Landscape Standard Details
The Landscape Standard Details are referenced in the LDRP and must be used for City of Fremont projects, on City of Fremont property, and within City of Fremont rights-of-way. The Landscape Standard Details serve as a guide for the development of detailed plans and specifications.
Park Standard Details
The Park Standard Details are provided as a guide to City staff, developers, and design consultants in order to provide specific standards in park development. Adhering to specific standards will promote park longevity, aesthetics, safety, and effective maintenance.
Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan (Master Plan) is a comprehensive planning document for the Community Services Department, covering a broad range of interconnected topics that provides guidance for the next 15-20 years on how to meet the demands for future recreational, programming, environmental, and maintenance needs, and to establish priorities for facility improvements, future park development, and park land acquisitions.
Landmark Trees
Fremont is home to many Landmark Trees that decorate the city with heritage. Their locations often coincide with historical farms, ranches, nurseries, orchards and wineries that were once owned by early pioneer families such as Shinn, Rock, Stanford, Chadbourne, Vallejo, and Patterson. Landmark Trees are preserved under the Tree Preservation Ordinance.
