The City has a strong commitment to environmentally sound business practices. When evaluating  proposals we will include an evaluation of Proposers’ commitment to excellence in environmental performance including the ability to help the City adhere to State environmental laws.

California Public Contract Code Section 22153 mandates that local public entities like the City require vendors to use paper and other products that consists of at least thirty percent (30%), by fiber weight, postconsumer fiber.

The City prefers to use a vendor that is certified under the California Green Business Network.  Should a vendor wish to become certified under the California Green Business Network, the standards can be found at: https://greenbusinessca.org
