Encampment Response

Photo of encampmentThe City has mobilized time and resources to address the impact of homelessness. Unsheltered homelessness in Fremont has grown significantly in the past five years, outpacing available local resources such as shelter, housing options, and abatement services. Part of the City's homeless response includes addressing encampments throughout Fremont. Efforts include scheduling cleanup activities, administering guidelines, and overseeing relocation efforts. It is important to note that these efforts can be restricted by legal limitations and a lack of affordable housing.
