Overview

Explores and identifies issues and concerns of special importance to teens and communicates those issues to the City Council. Encourages teen leadership and responsibility through involvement. Creates a forum for the purpose of encouraging public discussion of teen issues; such as, but not limited to, meetings, workshops and conferences.

Application Process

While the Youth Advisory Commission can accept applications year round, typically the commission reviews applications April through June for the term that begins next school year. It is suggested to submit applications during the month of March. If applications are turned in before that, it would not reflect all of the accomplishments you have had over the school year.
