Office of the Fire Chief

The roles and responsibilities of the Office of the Fire Chief includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Oversee Fire Suppression and rescue operations, Emergency Medical Services, and Disaster Response. 
  • Establish and implement policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Set department's goals and objectives.
  • Develop, update, and implement department's Strategic Plan.
  • Plan and direct the preparation of department's budget.
  • Administer and manage department's labor relations activities.
  • Oversee community risk assessment endeavors and department's Standards of Cover.
  • Initiate and execute contracts and agreements with other jurisdictions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, community members, and elected officials.
  • Participate in community events and public relations activities.
