Get Prepared. Get involved!
The Fremont Fire Department Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a free training program for Fremont residents. Participants learn how to prepare for and prevent emergencies at home, while learning hands-on disaster skills to help others. Those who complete CERT Basic Training become personally better prepared and may elect to become CERT Volunteers affiliated with the Fire Department.
Learn Skills to Help Your Neighbors in a Disaster.
CERT Volunteers are organized, trained, and ready to help the Fremont community in its greatest time of need. In a major disaster, such as an earthquake, CERT Volunteers organize into neighborhood-based teams and use their skills to recognize and report the most serious incidents, while using life-saving skills to help their neighbors and community. They are a lifeline between family and neighbors, and the City's emergency responders.
