Struggling with Alcohol and Drugs? Learn More About It!
Did you know that there are constant messages about drugs in songs and movies?
A study of popular music found that:
- 1 in 3 songs mention drugs, alcohol, or tobacco use.
- 3 in 4 raps songs mention drugs, alcohol or tobacco use.
In over a 9-year period the top 100 movies:
- 7 in 10 movies showed characters smoking.
- 1 in 3 movies showed characters getting drunk.
Take a break and contact Youth & Family Services' Substance Use team. We can help with individual and group services for youth ages 12 -21. Services are offered to youth that have used or are abusing alcohol or drugs, or exhibiting behavior, which puts them at extremely high risk for abusing alcohol or other drugs.

Youth Tobacco Awareness & Prevention Community Service Project
The City of Fremont offered a community service project to Tri-City students to help create graphics and written materials to use and develop a public awareness campaign that is informed by youth and relevant to youth.
