Meet the Fremont Youth Wellness Ambassadors!
Arav Tyagi, a Junior at Mission San Jose High School, formulated this year's City of Fremont, Human Services Department, Youth and Family Services Division's Youth Wellness Ambassador Community Service Project upon noticing a surge in drug usage in his school community. His objective is to conduct research and gather information to aid the City in enhancing awareness and response to this issue. Leveraging his background as a former (2023) Youth Wellness Ambassador, Arav decided to lead this year's initiative. In addition to his project involvement, Arav leads the LINK Committe at Mission San Jose High School. This committee, comprised of specially selected students, provides support for the smooth transition of incoming freshmen, spreads awareness about sensitive subjects, and organizes events to enhance student well-being.
