When the weather is unseasonably hot, stay safe by drinking water and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and heat.

Heat Related Symptoms

Hot weather and prolonged sun exposure can result in sunburn, heat rash, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke. Heat stroke is a life-threatening condition. If you see someone who may be having a life-threatening reaction to the heat, call 9-1-1. 

Cooling Centers

The City opens public cooling centers beginning late Spring, and through the Summer and early Fall, on days when the high temperature exceeds 91°F.
