Playground Resurfacing Project at Frank Fisher & Irvington Park
The playground at Frank Fisher & Irvington Parks will be closed starting Monday, September 16 to undergo a playground re-surfacing project. The playgrounds will re-open in approximately two weeks.
Quarterly Maintenance at Central Park Dog Park
The Central Park Large and Small Dog Park Areas will be closed for quarterly maintenance February 27-29. The Dog Park will reopen on Friday, March 1, 2024.
Tasks include: deep steam cleaning, maintaining shrubs/trees, and disinfecting the turf, structures, fixtures, and drinking fountains.

Side Walk Repairs in Central Park
Starting Monday, February 12, Silicon Valley Paving will improve the concrete pathways around Central Park under a contract with the City of Fremont. This project is designed to improve walkability and access of the sidewalks and spans approximately 1-2 weeks. Work will be completed on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The playground at Nordvik Park will be closed starting Monday, December 4, 2023 to undergo a playground re-surfacing project. The park is located in north Fremont on Commerce Drive. Playgrounds Closed
Crandall Creek and Brookvale Park playgrounds are closed until Friday, October 13, 2023 for surfacing repairs.
Lowry Park playground will be closed starting October 23 for a resurfacing project.

Central Park Pathway Improvement Project
Starting Thursday, September 7, Precision Concrete Cutting (PPC) will perform limited pathway trip hazard repair maintenance work under contract with the City of Fremont. This project is designed to improve walkability and access of the sidewalks and spans approximately 2-3 weeks. Work will be completed on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. View the repair locations on the map.
For trip hazards under 2 inches in height, PCC will repair the sidewalk through horizontal saw cutting. Once a trip hazard within the correct parameters are identified, saw cutting typically takes 20-30 minutes. This project will make the pathways safer, easier to walk and maintain. We appreciate your patience during this critical infrastructure maintenance work.

Fremont Tennis Center
Pickleball courts coming soon to court #6 at the Fremont Tennis Center. Courts 4, 5, & 6 will remain closed through Monday, September 11, 2023 to allow the curing of resurfacing product to complete. For questions, call (510) 494-4372 or send an email.
Sylvester Harvey Community Park
The public restrooms has been closed starting September 12 due to maintenance. The work is expected to be completed in a week. We are working diligently to resolve this matter and appreciate your understanding.
Rix Park
Parts of Rix Neighborhood Park was closed starting on Monday, April 3, 2023. The project is expected to be completed by August 2023. Areas of work include the demolition of the old basketball court, installation of two half-size basketball courts, modification of irrigation and turf, addition of new concrete sidewalk, and more. The park is located in South Fremont, work itself will occur on the Seneca Park Loop side of this long linear park. Click for project updates.
Mission San Jose Community Park
The public restrooms at Mission San Jose Community Park will be closed August 29-31, 2023 due to maintenance. We are working diligently to resolve this matter and appreciate your understanding.
